Myanmar education system is inferior to its counterparts in ASEAN neighbours.
It is producing quite a number of university graduates without systematic examination and it is having negative spill-over effects fro those hardworking and qualified students as well as previous graduates in respective fields of specialization.
There should be standardized test for "matriculation level" which used to maintain its quality standard until last decade but now fail to sustain it by having various test sets and thus having negative effect on the quality of "those who pass matriculation" who are going to enter the university.
Is it acceptable to have too many under-qualified graduates or limited amount of qualified graduates in our country. Should we think it is better to have a pool of unqualified graduates will impress the country more on the eyes of neighbors or in international view upon Myanmar's educated workforce. It is time to think seriously which direction our education system goes or what type of "human products" we are intending(planning) to produce. We may have to engage in several perspectives of educators, parents, as well as the educational objective of the nation in terms of "social objectives".
Fake objectives or fake-products would destroy the entire country slowly and steadily in times of intense competition from the rest of the world and especially form our ASEAN neighbors like Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
